# Does Kovena accept AMEX?

## We do accept AMEX cards, but...

In order for a merchant to be able to accept AMEX, you (as the merchant) must first have your own AMEX ID. If you do not have one, hop onto this [link](https://www.americanexpress.com/us/merchant/support-center/account-services/create-new-merchantid.html) to be able to obtain one. This part of the process is on you (as the merchant) to manage with AMEX.

- If you already have an AMEX ID, all you will need to do is share this with us to set up your account.
- If you do not have an AMEX ID, then you will have to take the necessary steps as mentioned further above to obtain one.
