# How to Operate the Kovena Virtual Terminal

Our **virtual terminal** is a secure, web-based payment processing tool that allows merchants to manually enter and process credit or debit card payments without a physical card reader or to send a secure payment link to guests to collect their payments.

To use the virtual terminal, log into the Kovena gateway and input the customer’s card information, the transaction amount, and any other necessary details. Once all information is entered, you can easily process the payment. This tool is particularly advantageous for merchants who need to manage remote payments where the card is not physically present.
